Warranty Policy

Limited Warranty Policy

Last Updated: 4 September 2026

At TechxTown, we aim to provide reliable products and a high standard of customer service.

Selected products purchased from our website may include a 6-Month Limited Commercial Warranty, unless a different warranty period is clearly stated on the relevant product page.

This Limited Warranty is a voluntary commercial warranty provided by TechxTown. It is provided in addition to, and does not replace, restrict or limit, any statutory rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable UK law.

1. Warranty Period

Where a product is stated to include a 6-Month Limited Commercial Warranty, the commercial warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered to the customer and continues for 6 months.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and functional faults arising during normal and intended use of the product.

The expiry of this commercial warranty does not mean that a consumer's statutory rights automatically expire.

2. What This Limited Warranty Covers

Subject to the terms of this policy, the Limited Warranty may cover:

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Internal component defects

  • Electronic faults

  • Functional failures arising during normal intended use

  • Other defects attributable to the manufacture of the product

The product must have been used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and for its intended purpose.

3. What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover

This commercial warranty does not normally cover faults or damage caused by:

  • Accidental damage

  • Drops, impacts or crushing

  • Cracked or broken screens, casings or components

  • Misuse or abnormal use

  • Negligence

  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications

  • Incorrect installation

  • Incorrect voltage, power supply or charging equipment

  • Liquid or moisture exposure where the product is not designed for such exposure

  • Failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect the functionality of the product

  • Damage caused by external events outside our reasonable control

For electronic products such as Smart Watches and Mini Projectors, these exclusions may apply where the relevant damage or fault has resulted from the customer's use of the product rather than from a manufacturing defect.

These exclusions do not affect any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

4. Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe that your product has developed a fault covered by this Limited Warranty, please contact us:

Email: info.techxtown@gmail.com

Please provide:

  • Your order number

  • Your name

  • A description of the issue

  • Photographs or video evidence of the issue where reasonably requested

  • Any other information reasonably required to assess the reported fault

We may ask you to complete reasonable troubleshooting steps before determining how the claim should proceed.

5. Assessment of Claims

We may reasonably assess the reported fault before determining whether it falls within this commercial warranty.

Where appropriate, we may request photographs, videos or other reasonable evidence to help identify the cause of the problem.

If the issue is confirmed to be covered by this Limited Warranty, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with this policy and applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, the remedy may include:

  • Repair

  • Replacement with the same or an equivalent product

  • Another appropriate remedy

A commercial warranty claim does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund in every circumstance.

However, nothing in this policy limits or excludes any statutory refund, repair, replacement, price reduction, rejection or other remedy to which the customer may be entitled under applicable UK consumer law.

6. Statutory Consumer Rights

This Limited Warranty is provided in addition to the customer's statutory rights.

For consumer purchases in the UK, goods are generally required to be:

  • As described

  • Of satisfactory quality

  • Fit for purpose

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or limit any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

Where a product does not conform to the contract, the customer may have statutory rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

The customer may have statutory rights and remedies beyond the 6-month commercial warranty period.

The 6-month commercial warranty should not be interpreted as a maximum period during which a customer may have legal rights regarding faulty or non-conforming goods.

7. Online Cancellation and Returns

This Limited Warranty does not replace or restrict our Returns & Refund Policy.

For most goods purchased online, consumers generally have a statutory cancellation right. Customers normally have 14 days from receiving the goods to notify the trader that they wish to cancel, followed by a further 14 days to return the goods, subject to applicable exceptions.

Where a valid cancellation applies, refunds will be handled in accordance with applicable UK law and our Returns & Refund Policy.

Where a product is faulty or does not conform to the contract, the customer's statutory rights may apply separately from the cancellation process.

8. Returning a Product for Assessment

If we reasonably require a product to be returned for inspection, we will provide the customer with instructions before the product is sent back.

Customers should contact TechxTown before returning a product.

Where applicable UK law requires the trader to bear reasonable return costs for faulty goods or another statutory remedy, this policy does not alter that obligation.

9. Proof of Purchase

We may request reasonable proof that the product was purchased from TechxTown, such as:

  • Order number

  • Order confirmation

  • Receipt

  • Other reasonable purchase information

We will not use this requirement to unlawfully restrict a customer's statutory rights.

10. Replacement Products

Where a replacement is provided under this commercial warranty, the replacement will normally be the same or an equivalent model where reasonably available.

If the original product is unavailable, we may offer an equivalent alternative where appropriate.

Any statutory rights applicable to the original purchase remain unaffected.

11. Fair and Reasonable Assessment

We will assess warranty claims fairly and reasonably based on the information available, the reported fault and the condition and use of the product.

We reserve the right to decline a commercial warranty claim where the evidence reasonably shows that the issue resulted from an excluded cause listed in this policy.

This does not affect any statutory rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

12. No Exclusion of Statutory Liability

Nothing in this Limited Warranty is intended to:

  • Exclude or restrict statutory consumer rights

  • Exclude or restrict liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law

  • Prevent a consumer from exercising a statutory remedy

  • Misrepresent the consumer's legal rights

  • Require a consumer to give up rights provided by applicable law

If any provision of this policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be applied only to the extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

13. Territorial Scope

This Limited Warranty applies to eligible purchases made through www.techxtown.shop and delivered within the United Kingdom, unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page.
